In the article, in the last picture at the bottom of the page, on the right
is stand with a sign that says, “Taco yaki”. I believe this is grilled
octopus. I have never had octopus. I wonder what it is like. Today at dinner,
at my house, I served fried squid. I wonder if octopus tastes similar to
squid. I am a little curious.
Tako yaki is soooooooo good!!!
I love tako (octopus)! (^-^)
Tako tastes similar to ika (squid), but with more flavor I think.
The texture is very similar, too.
If you like squid, I am very positive that you will like tako as well.
I want you to try tako yaki some day, Ophelia san. たこ焼きは、すごくおいしいよ!(^-^)
BTW, I noticed that the stand sign 「Hiroshima Okonomiyaki」 is written from left to right on the front of the stand (Both at the top and at the bottom), but from right to left on the side…Curious huh?
I think I should try this. Let me ask, if I go to a restaurant to order this,
can I get it without the tentacles? Years ago, before working at my current
job, I worked in seafood and from time to time, the company I worked for sold
octopus. Those were huge though, and it didn’t look like you could detach the
tentacles easily. I always find squid with the body and tentacles already
detached. Matter of fact, the last time I bought squid I found a package with
just the the bodies.
